An atlas of small discoveries

Where will the path take you?

An illustrated atlas: cottage gardens in Foxwood, winding green woods, and snow-covered pines and a timber bridge in Hushpine. The farther country fades into mist.

Leaf I · Where your journey begins

Foxwood

A sheltered wood, a first lesson, and Hester’s errands. Learn the small, useful things before the waygate opens onto wilder country.

Winding Reach

The road bends among mushrooms and trees. A raven has misplaced the makings of a very important picnic. Farther on, the wolves have plans of their own.

Leaf III · A glimpse of later country

Hushpine

Snow gathers beneath the pines. A timber bridge crosses dark water, and grey-blue bristles move between the trunks. Quiet does not always mean peaceful.

From Professor Crumb’s picnic basket

A matter of
considerable importance.

Items required for a perfectly civilised afternoon:

  1. One emergency biscuit.Emergencies include the absence of biscuits.
  2. A suspiciously shiny teaspoon. The degree of suspicion is beside the point.
  3. My best napkin. We are in the woods, not without standards.

A word to the wandering

Some wonders
have teeth.

Beyond the thaw, an antlered giant stirs in a woodland glade. Wings spread. Frost gathers. And behind you, the thorns begin to grow.

Bring more than curiosity. A well-timed spell—or a different shape—may be your way out.

Field note No. 01 ·

On the usefulness
of small company.

A raccoon familiar takes an interest in the ingredients around a woodland cottage. Watch the little pauses, the searching, and the return to the witch: the road needn’t be a solitary one.

This six-second observation is taken from our September gameplay trailer. The familiar helps gather components and defends itself when attacked.
